For district staff and the community
Data gaps
Small changes to public reports that would let the community see results. Each item below is a decision stamped "Not enough data" and the one piece of public information that would settle it.
This isn't a list of problems.
The district's standard year-end reports show spending by category, not by individual position or program. That's normal for these reports. These gaps are simply the places where one extra detail would let everyone, including the board, see that a decision worked.

Send the record for any gap below (a link to a public document is perfect), and the stamp will be reviewed using it. The change is noted, with the date, on the decision page.

Position-level cost comparisons
When a board item estimates savings from changing a position, the year-end reports show salaries only as district-wide totals. A short follow-up comparing the old and new position costs, in a budget update or staff report, would let the result be shared.

Results updates for one-time programs
When a one-time program is expected to save money, a short results update (how many took part, and the savings after costs) would let the community see how it worked out.
